On March 23, Lombard Middle School kicked off state testing in the most inspiring way possible—learning from champions.

We were honored to welcome an incredible lineup of coaches: Steve Cheesman, Corey Harvey, Kellen Fernetti and Harley Knosher.

Coach Cheesman reminded us that being a champion starts with showing up. There is power in daily effort and commitment.

coach harveyCoach Fernetti emphasized the importance of teamwork, sharing the Carl Sandburg Girls motto #TenToesIn, and encouraged students to live with energy, effort, and enthusiasm because that’s what makes life fun!

Coach FernettiAnd at 92 years, Coach Knosher inspired us all by reminding students that they are writing their record every day through their habits. He even led the school in a clapping challenge—proving that while no one could beat him, everyone can still be a winner if they try.

coach knosherTo top it off, Coach Cheesman presented Mr. Spring with a Hulk stuffed animal—a fun and powerful reminder for all of us to be champions in life.
