We are excited to share that our 5th grade students will attend the Galesburg Heritage Days Living History Festival at Lake Storey Park this Friday, August 15, 2025.
This event allows students to step back in time and experience American history through interactive, hands-on learning. Students will explore:
An Early American colonial frontier rendezvous
A Civil War battle encampment
Over 30 stations with demonstrations, crafts, and storytelling

Friday, August 15, 2025. Location: Lake Storey. Time: 9:00-1:00pm.
Bring: Water Bottle, Sunscreen, Comfortable shoes and clothes.
Heritage Days is a wonderful way for students to connect what they learn in the classroom with real-world history. We are looking forward to a meaningful and fun day!
