Galesburg High School hosted Senior Night on January 8th. The event was larger this year and offered more information for Class of 2025 graduates. Students were able to visit with college representatives from Carl Sandburg College, Monmouth College, Knox College, Bradley University, St. Ambrose University, and Eureka College. Many seniors took advantage of the opportunity to learn about the Galesburg Public School Foundation scholarship application. FAFSA completion was the priority for the over 40 families in attendance. With the help of financial aid partners from Knox College, Monmouth College, Carl Sandburg College, and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), they were able to complete their FAFSA application.

Please remember that every graduating senior must complete the FAFSA before receiving their diploma. FAFSA completion is a state of Illinois graduation requirement. Before reaching out for FAFSA assistance, both the parent and student must create an FSA ID by visiting studentaid.gov. The FSA ID is how you will log into FAFSA and should be created 2-3 days before FAFSA completion to allow for verification.
